transit (2023)
The High Cinema Institute is the first institution to teach cinema arts in the Middle East and Africa.
Over the past years, the Institute participated in various international forums and festivals, and won many international awards, and since its inception date the educational process used to get carried out in the same original building that was established in 1959. (Transit) is a film which aims to document the original building of the Institute, especially after the decision to relocate the students to another new building.
The film observes the architectural and sensory point of view and the similarities between it and the transitional stages in the concept of liminality phases in anthropology.
