Film My Design (FMD) is the first and only design-film festival in the MENA region, HELD bi-annually in Cairo, Egypt.
Leveraging Egypt’s strong, long-standing connection to the film world, FMD’s mission centers on telling inspiring, engaging, and thought-provoking stories on design, architecture and city life using film; the most universal language of visual storytelling.
FMD has held a highly successful 2nd edition from the 27th to the 30th of January 2022. This took place in the heart of downtown Cairo at Zaywa Cinema.
FMD 2022 hosted over 30 local and international film screenings and conversations on design, architecture and urban life as well as an installation titled “Fragments in Transition,” co-curated and designed by Studio Paradigm. The opening and closing nights of the festival were held at the Tahrir Cultural Center and the Design Haus by Esorus respectively. Bridging the worlds of design and film, the FMD 2022 festival brought together creative professionals and enthusiasts from Egypt and beyond.
